Help
Ports run on the GA36-MB V1.2 with goodluckOS 0.1.0 or later and show up in the Ports category of kennel or Puppy.
Copying files
Unzip on your PC. Copy the ports and .local folders into the root of HOME. .local is hidden on Linux and
macOS.
USB cable
Connect the console’s OTG port to a USB-A port (or a hub) and turn it on. It shows up as GA36MB, storage HOME. A direct USB-C to USB-C cable does not work.
Card reader
Copy to the card’s FAT partition. If your PC offers to format or repair another partition, say no.
USB networking
scp to /home/player, if your system has it (kennel: Settings > System > USB mode).
Updating and removing
Update: unzip the new version over the old one. Saves are kept.
Remove: delete ports/<port>, .local/share/applications/<port>.puppy and .local/share/icons/<port>.png.
When a game does not start
| Problem | Check |
|---|---|
| Not in the menu | .local was copied; restart the console |
| Quits at once | ports/<port>/run.log; usually missing game files |
| Anything else | Open an issue with the port version and run.log |
